This lunchtime 2 whoopers were floating about on the pond in front of the waiting room in the middle of Cors Caron, which in itself is a surprise but more so was the fact that they both sported yellow darvics on their left legs. Unfortunately the strong wind, rain and hail mean't that although able to preen the hoped for leg-stretch didn't occur and I couldn't see the numbers/letters. Hopefully Terry Mills or Andy Polkey might be able to read them as the swans come out on land on the NW bog but worth everyone taking a good look at any local whoopers for evidence of rings. I think Slimbridge use yellow rings but they will need the exact reading.
Shooting/hunting on the N. bog kept me on the south end where I saw a woodcock, thanks to Toffy, and saw and heard a marsh tit.
