The adult and first winter Little Gulls which were first seen off South Beach, Aberystwyth by Arthur Chater on Friday were still there yesterday morning for Harry and myself but no sign of them today. Harry and I also noticed several Red-throated Divers flying over the sea, well offshore plus a Great Northern Diver. At Llanrhystud, also yesterday, we saw another first winter Little Gull which was still there later on for Chris Bird.
Bob and I had a nice view of a male Black Redstart on the Old College at Aberystwyth this morning and only 2 Purple Sandpipers at the high tide roost. Later at Ynyslas I noticed a Short-eared Owl and 7 pale-bellied Brent Geese.
