Proof that many Guillemots do not leave our inshore waters during the winter came from Penny at New Quay. A regular cliff-top walker and organiser of the dolphin watches from the old coastguard lookout, she noticed around 300 Guillemots on the cliff ledges earlier this week and reports that such numbers have been seen in recent weeks.
As well as the erosion which Liz noticed at Aberaeron, the shingle bank just to the south of the car park at Llanrhystud has been taking a beating and looks as if a breach could occur before too long.
