Australian shelduck
Finally had decent views of the strange shelduck that John Davis saw at RSPB Ynys-hir some days ago and yes, as suggested it is an Australian shelduck, another escapee on the Dyfi. Also today, a first winter little gull feeding over the salt marsh near the marian mawr hide and a ringtail hen harrier feeding near the hide. Shoveler numbers have increased to 18 and over 900 teal were on the pool near the Breakwater hide.
