My first Bullfinch of the year was along the path from Llanrhystud church which leads down to the shore.
Nearby was a Chiffchaff, feeding low in the vegetation beside the path, on the path itself plus some flycatching between the path-side bushes.
Yesterday the lone Whooper Swan which has been up here at Trisant for a few days was on Llyn Frongoch. I did wonder if it was one of the pair which had been here at the beginning of 2009. One was unable to fly and its mate eventually left it to return to Iceland on 9th April. The sick bird was taken into care in early June.
