From the car park, a tightly huddled group of 16 grey plovers, 9 knot and
17 dunlin pushed up with the rising tide. Also 3 ringed plovers and what I
was initially convinced was a Ring-billed Gull, but on closer inspection
was probably just a 2nd winter Herring bobbing around just offshore. The
bill pattern and plumage were exactly right for Ring-billed!
