Monday July 16th 10am to 4 pm at Denmark Farm Conservation Centre.
“Dr Nick Owens will first help you identify the ‘big six’ most common bumblebees, from an appreciation of their features, habits and habitat requirements, before moving on to consider other species found in Wales. You will go on a ‘Bee Walk’ in the flowery meadows of Denmark Farm and gain an understanding of how to record bumblebees for conservation surveys. Colour guides to the most common species and their look alikes will be included, as well as guidance on which flowers to plant in your garden to encourage bumblebees, plus plenty of other references”.
