Ynyslas

Decided to have a look for the Rose-coloured Starling reported yesterday at Ynyslas. No sign of the bird but then Bob turned up and we spent the morning wandering the dunes. Still no bird, but luckily the rain just about held off.
At one point a thrush sized bird seen flying away from us had us guessing, as it clearly had a white patch on each wing, looking otherwise all black. We eventually managed to track it down and it was........a  Blackbird
A light southward passage of Swifts involved at least 12 birds.
We finished off at the turn car park, with a gorgeous adult summer Mediterranean Gull on the golf course.
