Fifteen people started the field trip walk today in disappointingly wet weather
and ten finished, rather soggy, two and a half hours later.
The list of birds seen is : fulmar, Manx shearwater, cormorant, grey heron,
Canada goose, mallard, teal, oystercatcher, ringed plover, sanderling, dunlin,
common sandpiper, black tailed godwit, curlew, black headed gull,
Mediterranean gull, lesser black-backed gull, great black-backed gull,
kittiwake, Sandwich tern, Arctic tern, wood pigeon, swift, skylark, sand
martin, swallow, house martin, rock pipit, meadow pipit, pied wagtail, yellow
wagtail, wheatear, whitethroat, jackdaw, carrion crow, rook, linnet, and
goldfinch.
An enjoyable outing despite the weather and thanks to Red for leading us and
keeping us enthusiastic to the end!
