The annual build up of Mediterranean Gulls is well underway at Llanrhystyd. We are lucky to get two or three together where I live on the North Wales coast; so to see 200+ together is a big thrill for me. The flock gave superb views off the caravan park this evening, even coming to bread that some caravan owners threw for them. At least 20 juveniles were present amongst what seemed to be mainly adults.
A few waders too- 13 Turnstone amongst the Ringed Plover and Dunlin. 3 Swifts fed over the fields amongst 100+ hirundines.
