On my return from north Wales (and the Desert Wheatear) this was in my in-box, sent by Ian Armstead yesterday:
I don't know if this is interesting or not but there was a flock of what I am
guessing were Waxwings on one of the Sorbus? trees in Great Portland Street,
Aberystwyth - just by the old town hall (now library). I am no expert and they
weren't particularly dramatic looking in terms of colouration - but they had
very obvious crests on the head and yellow tipped tails.
