Cold Weather Invasion!

This morning all the Starlings which had spent the night on the pier just popped over Constitution Hill into the Clarach Valley. Several thousand descended on the fields in the valley bottom. On a field to the west of the railway line a very large flock, well over a thousand, Redwing and Fieldfare together with a good number of Blackbirds were gleaning the stubbles. About fifty Lapwing were also flying around the valley.
