Starting with my local lakes there was a lone Whooper Swan on Rhosrhydd, a male Goldeneye on Frongoch and a female Scaup on Bwlchcryws.
Down at Aberystwyth, 8 Purple Sandpipers were on the prom wall and at Tanybwlch a couple of Chough.
Ynyslas was a bit quiet but from the Clettwr embankment a huge number of Lapwings on Morfa Cyd and like Phil Dennis, I was surprised at the relatively small number of Golden Plovers. A Greenshank there showed well plus some Shoveller.
As dusk approached three Hen Harriers coming in to roost on Cors Fochno was a nice ending to the day.
