I wasn't able to attend the bird walk this afternoon but I did manage to meet up with Harry and John at Ynys-hir this morning. We made our way to the Breakwater Hide, hearing but unfortunately not seeing at least 2 Water Rail during the trek. Close to the hide we saw Skylark and Snipe. We didn't count the Curlew, Redshank and Wigoen but there were lots of them. There were also a few Goosander, 2 Goldeneye, 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese, a Spotted Redshank and a few more Snipe put up by a gorgeous female Hen Harrier. On our way back to the visitor centre we stopped to admire a Goldcrest showing very nicely in a leafless bush.
