BORTH and YNYSLAS

Richard Knight and I had a full days birdwatching yesterday around Borth and Ynyslas and saw the following:
 
Upper Borth - a Black Redstart briefly on the roof of one of the bungalows towards the top end of the road leading to the monument. The sea was quiet with just 18 common Scoter and a Diver sp with 6 Tufted Duck.
Borth Sewage works - Chiffchaff, 2 Sparrowhawk
Ynyslas Turn car park - 2 Meadow Pipit, 1 Rock Pipit and 3 Ringed Plover, Kestrel, no sign of the Water Pipit.
Ynyslas - 100+ Golden Plover, 29 Sanderling, 20 Ringed Plover, 100+ Oystercatcher, 3 Little Egret, 30 Curlew, 60 Shelduck
Glandwr  - 2 Stonechat, 2 Little Egret, 30 Teal, 2 Redshank, Shoveller, Merlin and a ringtail Hen Harrier on the bog.
Clettwr - 10 Redshank, 2 Little Egret, 55 White fronted Geese, 30 Golden Plover with the Lapwings, 5 Redwing and a Goshawk over.
 
Not a bad day!
