Managed to get another pic of this unusual bird this morning. As well as the head there are some light coloured feathers elsewhere on its body. It sat on the fence waiting its turn to the feeder and was clearly subservient to a large male Blackbird occupying the bird table. Based on size, possibly a young bird and appears fit, healthy and inquisitive.
