What a difference a bit of sun makes, I've never had such a variety of birds in the garden as this year. As well as the usual suspects I've got regular Willow Warblers, Blackcaps, a single of Chiffchaff and a Goldcrest thats taken a shine to one of my mahonias. Swallows feeding in the field yesterday and Hs Martins back today right on cue, although they were early last year. I've put one extra double box up this year and two birds were in it within an hour. Eyes open now for some early Swifts!!
