The shortie was seen smack in the middle of my Chat square but I visited the day before and the day after so I must ask Arfon what they call that in the parlance...I know what I call it!
Karen and I were up there at 7am this morning and were frozen, fingers paining, but reward was a beautiful male whinchat. On Thursday morning as I was talking to Mrs Jones about access for the survey 4 swallows arrived at her sheds which she was most pleased to see as they had been waiting every day for their arrival. The hill had over a dozen wheatear that morning but not all of them were there today.
