Thanks to John Valentine who received a message from the farmer, John, Bob and I hurried down to Ynyslas for a view of 6 Dotterel.
Apparently the farmer noticed 9 on one of his meadows on Sunday. Interestingly, when we met him, he reckoned they had been there in the past so it could be a regular migration stop-off site.
The birds were viewable from the sea-wall embankment, upstream of the Leri. They were on the last meadow before the pill-box.
