He has a metal non- BTO ring on each leg which on our last photos appear to have slipped down to partially confine his toes, though as he is still alive as of June 17th, they probably move back up the leg as he stretches his feet to catch rabbits. These rings are probably all that remains of jesses as he is widely believed to be a regionally released/escaped bird.
Whatever, he is a magnificent sight in our skies and thankfully tolerated by farmers.
On the 17th he even (sort of) justified the price of the waiting room on Cors Caron as some disappointed visitors were moaning about the lack of things to see through those enormous glass windows when lo and behold there he was easily evading the attentions of a demented crow.
Joining him in the skies as of yesterday were three Hobbeys/ies?; best views are towards the dead birch trees from the boardwalk looking west where they frequently pause to pick the remains of dragonflies out of their feet!
