Green Sandpiper

An early morning on the Borth bog boardwalk produced a green sandpiper which first flew overhead and then landed in a ditch out of sight. Also noteworthy were four reeling grasshopper warbler, plenty of willow warbler, whitethroat, sedge warbler, reed bunting, a family of linnets and a displaying shelduck.
Later on in the morning we had an otter at the mouth of the Leri. It first leisurely ate a fish on the mudbank and then hunted on the river before it disappeared down a ditch.
