Ynyslas yesterday and Ynys-hir today

At Ynyslas yesterday I met up with Harry Pepper and amongst the waders at the northern point were two curlew sandpipers. Harry spotted an arctic skua harrying terns off-shore. Later, as the tide receded near the Leri there were good numbers of sandwich terns with 3 common terns and a dotterel flew over (heading south-east) calling loudly. Today, at RSPB Ynys-hir there are 85 barnacle geese out on the saltings, a merlin was near the Ynys Feurig hide and a marsh harrier was over the salt marsh.
