Good-bye Larch

On our way home from Herefordshire today, buster and I stopped at Nant yr Arian to stretch our legs.
It's the first time I've visited since work began to fell all the larches.  It's a ghastly sight, and being a "glass half empty" type I don't imagine that the wounds will be healed in my life-time.
And I can't help wondering - after Badgers and Larches, what next?

On a brighter note - we went to Ynyslas later and were delighted to see Choughs again.
Five of them flew over the turn car park heading north at about 3:00 pm.
