LLYN RHOSRHYDD, TRISANT

My County total for the year crept up by one this morning thanks to a female Pochard on Rhosrhydd,  a surprisingly scarce species in Ceredigion.
At the start of the year Russell said he was aiming for 180 in Ceredigion this year and he has already broken through his target!
There are still 2 months to go for the rest of us to see how we can do. To put it in perspective, 180, which is quite a daunting total, compares with 220 seen in Ceredigion last year, including 5 'firsts'.  So far this year, no new birds have been added to the County list. There's a challenge!
Also on Rhosrhydd, 4 Goldeneyes, my first of this winter.
