A walk to the pillbox

As we were struggling to release a sheep with its head stuck through a fence opposite the Leri boatyard, an otter loped along through the middle of the field, a delight that made our day.
Continuing our walk we enjoyed a male Goldeneye fly past but as we got closer to the pillbox a shooter appeared a couple of hundred yards ahead so the birds we had hoped to see were disturbed and moved off upstream. We did get distant views of lots of stuff but we didn't stay long, I've no stomach for watching birds being shot.
