The 'odd' oystercatcher is still managing to survive despite its rather conspicuous attire.
Also, under the overhang on the cliffs just south of the Lime kilns were two chough hunting for bugs in the freshly exposed soft strata. Unfortunately they were impossible to photograph in the deep shadows and I couldn't make out their leg colour rings though I could see they were ringed; possibly the siblings seen earlier in the year from a nearby nest site.
Over 20 redshank were with curlews, oystercatchers and lapwing in the field just north of Llansantffraed and a similar number of Turnstone were working the beach.
