Haven’t seen any mention of the BTO Early Bird survey – 9th – 12th January on the Ceredigion Blog, don’t know if others would like to participate. The survey wants folk to record the first 10 species that arrive at their feeders in the morning, and are looking into light pollution altering these arrivals. In the dark of the outskirts of Capel Seion this morning our first 10 arrivals were: Chaffinch and robin together first, followed by blackbird, blue tit, Great tit, Magpie, Dunnock, Goldfinch, Collared dove and finally starlings.
