Newquay

On the coast path near Newquay this morning two male and one female Blackcaps together and several singing Chiffchaffs. A group of 15 Sand Martins flew along the cliff heading North. There were further signs of spring on a fine, sunny morning with Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock butterflies, a sun bathing Adder and,  at Cwm Tydu, a day flying bat (presumably Pipistrelle). Seems the milder weather has woken the bats up as there was also one flying yesterday afternoon on the coast path above the fish factory in Newquay.
