Sand Martins

Having seen the Tenby Great Spotted Cuckoo on my way(ish) back from work I called in at Pencarreg Lake, just over the border in Carmarthenshire and saw my first Sand Martins of the year. A very brief female Red-breasted Merganser, which flew in, had a wash and then departed was a bit of a surprise and the first time that I have seen this species on the lake.
