Smew and other bits

A strange mix of seasons on the reserve at RSPB Ynys-hir today with a female smew on the river, a green sandpiper on the Marian Mawr pools, displaying lapwings and chiffchaffs and sand martins. Jim marshall had an osprey flying towards the reserve this morning with a flopping flounder, a flock of crossbill flew over and there were 35 Greenland white-fronted geese on Penrhyngerwin (the bit west of the Breakwater hide).
