A 6pm wander around the marsh was quiet, enlivened by 3 Otters on Kingfisher pond. All change at 6.40pm - just when we thought that it was time to head back to the car as there were no Hirundines around 100 Sand Martins appeared from nowhere. Then a large flock of Wagtails came in to roost, gathering on the cut reed bed by Mallard hide. First count was 90 but more flew in, including several White Wagtails.
