At Denmark Farm Conservation Centre there is a yurt for campers with a wood burner. With visitors due this weekend I was asked to check a report of a small brown bird entering the flue. Sure enough, a pair of Spotted Flycatchers seem to be nesting. Doubtless, baked Flycatcher is a perfectly normal mid-morning snack on Malta, but not in Llangybi. It was very fortunate that the birds were noticed so that a minor tragedy can be avoided.
