On our walk this afternoon we were shadowed by two Buzzards, youngsters I think, constantly calling overhead. A Red Kite joined them briefly. As we descended the hill at about 3:45 the Buzzards calls seemed more urgent and looking up I saw the reason why. They had been joined by two Ospreys. I
watched the Ospreys for a few minutes until they left the area, drifting off to the south.
Yesterday afternoon, driving home after a walk at Ynyslas, I overtook a female Sparrowhawk.
By the time I spotted her, even if we had been on a collision course, it was too late to do anything about it. We were travelling in the same direction and fortunately she kept a straight line, roughly a meter above the ground as I overtook/undertook her.
