Though it breaks my heart to go…2 wheatears plus 2 whimbrels were flying south from Llanon today though the med gulls (counted by Kathy from Seawatch at 160) were loafing around in no hurry at all. Bri spotted 3K79 which we saw in Aug 2010 so will await Camille's report on its subsequent movements. Another one ringed green--M2 might be 6M2 which we've seen there before but couldn't quite get the first number.
By the stream outlet were 2 young grey wags which might be the offspring of the pair regularly seen there.
1 Clouded Yellow on the cliff top also.
Sorry about the title, the 1914 nostalgia- fest on telly has got to me.
