Late morning and I had just settled down on the prom when I noticed a lone Sandwich Tern fishing offshore. After a while it was set upon by 2 dark-phase Arctic Skuas which chased and harried it before it gave up its meal. The Skuas then settled on the sea.
Thereafter there was a steady trickle of Sandwich Terns and Manx Shearwaters, a few Gannets and one Red-throated Diver on the sea.
Yesterday, a good count of Tufted Ducks on Trisant lakes: 22 on Rhosrhydd, 2 on adjacent Glandwgan and 2 on Bwlchcryws.
