Day in the sun!

Great day's birding which started at Llanrhystud where I 'ticked' Simon Cox and also had 5 cracking ad summer plumage Med Gulls just off the lime kilns. At Llanon I managed to track down a Lapland Bunting that has managed to lose its tail somehow - perhaps a close encounter with the wintering Merlin. On my way to Tregaron I detoured via Llyn Eiddwen for the Smew, Scaup duck-double and also 'year-ticked' Jon Turner. The highlight at Tregaron was a Green Sandpipier in front of the Bog Hide. The day was rounded off nicely by a fly by Barn Owl as I headed back to the car.
