A rather damp walk along the Clettwr this morning was made worthwhile by spotting c50 Barnacle Geese in a field close to the railway line. I was also delighted to see two Redshanks performing their courtship flight, I don't recall ever seeing it before.
Despite the chill rain, several Skylarks were singing their little hearts out.
