Chris had another look at the Rheidol gravel pits today and had 10 Goldeneye and 10 Goosander, seven females and three males of each species.
He also counted 11 Moorhens on Nanteos pool. This appears to be the largest count in Ceredigion for several years, which must seem odd to those used to seeing large numbers on many English waters. Lack of suitable habitat, I suppose.
