Pochard and white-fronts

A male pochard was on the Ynys Eidiol pools at RSPB Ynys-hir today with the 23 Greenland white-fronted geese on the fields west of the Breakwater hide. Two ringed plover on the pool edge in front of the Ynys Feurig hide excited me for a moment but despite trying they remained only ringed plover and a dunlin was there too. Lots of chiffchaff in but despite a few reports all the tree pipits turned out to be meadow pipits (they also perch in trees too).
