Seabirds at Aberystwyth

I was walking along the prom towards the pier this morning when what should come along but a Fulmar, flying along the road between me and the Old College.
A good omen for a seawatch, despite having spent some time recently staring at an empty sea.
Four Kittiwakes heading south were followed soon afterwards by a flock of 38, all adults. Two Red-throated Divers passed, plus a more distant large diver.
The odd Common Scoter went north, seven in total, as did a Shelduck.
Nothing very exciting, but its a start.
Waders were eight Purple Sandpipers on the wall, 16 Turnstones by the pier and a calling, but unseen  Redshank.
