Brrrrr...

If the weather stays like this maybe the Shrike will linger for longer? I hauled my aching bones up to the top of Bryn Rhudd this morning where I found an estimated 23 pairs of Meadow Pipits and 9 pairs of Skylarks in approximately 1km2 of moorland. Great views from the top of snowy peaks in Snowdonia and the Beacons. But God it was cold. A Bumble Bee flew past wearing 3 pairs of gloves. There were also 3 pairs of Stonechats in a relatively small area in the upper part of Cwm Carfan.
