The mixed Whimbrel - Bar-tailed Godwit flock was still on the rushy Glandwr fields early afternoon today; I counted 105 Whimbrels and 43 godwits; also 9+ Wheatears. On the adjacent Leri were an additional 18 Bar-tailed Godwits and 2 Common Sandpipers.
Scattered along the golf course by the road were 18 White Wagtails and a further 6 Wheatears. Earlier we joined the general trend with a Redpoll on the feeder - first record for our garden.
