Short-eared Owl

On a walk from talybwlch beach to penderi cliffs today I managed to see 20+ wheatears, 4 Skylark, 5 willow warblers, a flock of 30-40 linnets and countless stonechat and chiffchaff.
The icing on the cake however was a very vocal Peregrine sitting on a fence post near Morfa Bychan holiday park and then as I was walking back to talybwlch a short-eared owl flew up from underneath some gorse five metres in front of me, an incredible sight, should have been paying more attention in future, as I was checking my phone as it happened!
