More Med Gulls

Having made several fruitless trips down the coast recently to see if the annual build-up of Med Gulls had begun, I was encouraged by Jon's sighting yesterday to try again.
Arrived at the beach car park at Llanrhystud to find a Wheatear and three Med Gulls on the flooded field (a little more flooded after the recent rain), then a walk up to the caravan park produced another 11 Meds near the river mouth.
As I was driving out John was coming in.  My next call was Llansantffraed, where there were two Choughs, a male Kestrel and a Curlew.  John joined me and we spent some time staring at the empty beach and sea for little reward; just a couple of Gannets, a Med Gull, another Curlew and a small party of Sand Martins which joined us.
