Distribution of Med Gulls

I was interested to read Ian's posting about the shifting distribution of Med Gulls in Ceredigion at this time of year.
I spent yesterday morning on the coast, covering Llanrhystud, Llansantffraed, Morfa Llanon and finally Aberaeron, hoping to find a few passage waders and get a good count of Med Gulls.
Failed on both counts: not a single Med Gull anywhere and my sum total of waders, apart from a few Oystercatchers, was one Whimbrel and two Curlews at Llansantffraed and a colour-ringed Curlew at Aberaeron (orange ring on left leg)
Of course in mid July the gull build-up is still in the early stages, but I intend to keep an eye on that stretch of coast and Aberystwyth during the next few weeks.
