Even when the heavy rain eventually cleared (well, eased) at Aberystwyth this morning, all I could find was four Turnstones on the rocks at Castle point.
John came along and we watched the rising tide for a time before the blowy and damp conditions defeated us.
Later, I noticed some gulls on Blaendolau playing fields as I was driving past, so decided to check them out. The majority were Med Gulls, 35 at first count, but they were still coming in in ones and twos. Final total was 44 before the rain came in again and drove me away.
Also nine Herring Gulls and four Lesser Black-backs.
Please excuse yet more photos, but they are quite attractive birds.
