Mediterranean Gulls

I remember a few years ago counting over 60 Med. Gulls at Aberaeron, a county record at the time that lasted less than a day. The following year they were up the coast more at Llanon/Llanrhystud and in far bigger numbers. Then last year they seemed to have shifted to Aberystwyth and from what I read on the blog that looks to be true this year too. I think I'm right in saying that they have been pushing NW for decades from their original core area (Black Sea?). Perhaps they still are, right before our eyes in Ceredigion. In a handful of years I guess it's possible that they may have driven further NW, across the Dyfi. So enjoy them while it lasts, just in case. Of course, I may be wrong. I also thought England had reasonable prospects in the footie, a lifetime delusion that's proving hard to shift.
