Pant Pool

Got son on to school bus then hurried over to Llanddewi Brefi hoping to see the male and female Scaup discovered on the field trip on Sunday. Two birds sailing away from me on the far side of the pool looked likely candidates but by the time I'd got the scope up a brief deluge came down and I couldn't clinch an id. Two minutes later I re-emerged from cover but they'd disappeared. However, a female Scaup was at the front of the pool accompanied by a female Tufted Duck. Probably, the first two were just Mallard. At least 4 Little Grebes present. Is anyone else coming across Chiffchaffs still? One was singing at Cors Caron on Sunday and another was in full song yesterday in Penrhiwllan (opposite the shop, at the top of your garden Ian ).
