SOME GOOD BIRDING BY THE CLETTWR

From Cletwr today at high tide:
Distant views of Greenshank, Grey Plover and Pintail.  Two Chough flew over high heading west.  A female M erlin low over the saltmarsh.  Ringtail Hen Harrier hunting to the north of the Cletwr flushing good numbers of Snipe and Teal.  A small flock of White-fronted G eese landed with some Canadas in a similar area to the Hen Harrier.  Didn't see them for long enough to tell whether they were Greenlands or not, but there were approximately 12 - 15, so they may well have been the same birds as at Llansantfraed yesterday.  No  sign of YBW but didn't give it long, makes you wonder how many are in the county and whether there may even be the odd Pallas turning up.
