I had good views of a Bittern yesterday morning on the north side
of Cors Fochno. It perched for a minute or two in a tree near the roadside close
to Ty Mawr, having been harassed in flight by a magpie and a crow. It then flew
back to the bog dropping down in a reedy ditch between Ty Mawr and Ynyslas
Cottage.
At Glandwr there were 9 Black-tailed godwits, 8 Redshank and
a Geenshank, plus at least 80 Teal and 5 Wigeon. There were also 2 Dabchicks on
the Leri.

What a coincidence. I received Mike's email yesterday but was having a slight computer problem so I couldn't put it on the blog until now.
Imagine my surprise when I switched on this morning and saw Janet's posting.
